T h ey w e re a t th at tim e past 70 years old. M rs. G ilp in cam e from a lon g lived peo p le, h er fa th e r h av in g lived to th e age ol 100 years, a sister Mrs. S to tt o f this c o u n ty w h o d ied som e years a go w as 96 y e a r s old at h er d eath . M rs. G ilp in h as b een a true w ife and a fa ith fu l m other. S h e h as been a co n stan t m em b er o f the C h ris tia n ch u rch 75 years. H e r aged h u sb an d su rv ives her, also five ch ild re n , M rs. W . F . k o lsto n and Mrs. H en ry M cN a m e r o f G a ston , M rs. K . H. P ark er and S am u el G ilp in o f Forest G ro ve , and M rs. M arth a W oorum o f Pen in sula. T h e fu n e ral w as la rg e ly atten d ed b y rela tives aud frien d s.
